Holiday Container Gardening

~ “Colors are the smiles of Nature”

~ Leigh Hunt

Feeling brave for the first time to share my working silhouette during this container gardening experience with my lovely blog friends. Local talented Doctor Ashley Heintz practices acupuncture out of her office, that I tried successfully last week for the first time and the porch needed a bit of sprucing up.

The Doctor took a picture of me from inside her office window, LOL, unbeknownst to me, while I was in my element.

Since it is December, local nurseries carry specific stock of plants and not reordering until next year, but somehow this was meant to be. When I came to research what is available, currently, they were unpacking new shipment that came in right that day. It is so nice to purchase flowers that are fresh and will adapt to your own environment for longer periods of time.

Three Coleus plants

Did you know there are in excess of 150 varieties of Poinsettia to adorn your home with seasonal flair? According to research, they are not poisonous to humans or pets. either.

Poinsettias are native to Mexico and were introduced to the U.S. in 1825 by the botanist named Joe Poinsett.

Now its time to brag 🙂 Here is Doctor Hentz’ testimony:

This is my beautiful friend Luda@PlantsandBeyond. She has a passion and love for plant life that rivals your love for your dog. A week ago she was leaving my office and insisted I let her redo my wilted plants. She had real sadness and despair for the state of my old plants, a fungus had invaded and they were completely malnourished. I had no idea. She brought me these gorgeous flowering plants that will flourish in the shade on the walkway in front of my office.

She can do this for you too because this is her business. She plans, designs, provides and plants flora catered to thrive in the environment of your home or business. She is an artist an expert and a genuine pure heart.

Well, that has melted my heart and I so want to share that with you guys.

Have an absolutely multicolored day, my dear friends.

      1. I have the coleus that have bright green leaves & pink, purple or white center streaks and, the muted green leaves with wide red centers. I couldn’t tell you the Latin names.

        I am in North Carolina.
