Another tasty Cauliflower Pizza with Veggies found in CPK.
Hey guys. As I love pizza, and this is one of the cool foodies finds outside of the house kitchen.
Taking kids to dine out to their favorite CPK restaurant, eating this version was the quilt free experience.
Here are the facts from California Pizza Kitchen’s website:
The crust will be made with “a custom blend of cauliflower, mozzarella cheese, rice flour, herbs, and spices,” according to the brand. Each slice will set you back 90 calories and has 14 grams of carbs compared to the chain’s classic crust which runs about 97 calories and has 21 grams of carbs. It’s also gluten-free.
Isn’t it cool? This restaurant chain is the first one to offer such an option and I am pretty ecstatic about it.
When I cook it at home, I don’t add rice flour to my Cauliflower Pizza recipe. So beware of it here.

I’ll have to check this out for its sodium content. I can’t eat regular pizza from restaurants because one slice has 700-1200 mg of sodium and my diet only allows me 1500 daily. Thank you for sharing!

It has about 600 mg of sodium in a serving, so not too bad. We will have to try it! Thanks again!

Yum! Looks awesome! 🙂 I always make my own, quick pizza twice a week! I use no-fat cheese that i sprinkle canola oil over (which is way healthier, no saturated fats)! 🙂

I have tried making the cauliflower crust a few times and it is always soggy. I am going to have to try again. Even though I looooove bread, it isn’t the best thing for me 🙂 Thank you for sharing this.
I am also starting to see restaurants in my local area branch out into more “plant based” options. Makes me a happy camper!

How about adding less eggs and baking longer – when I prep it – it comes out crispy on the edges and soft in the middle , but not soggy ?

I am a plant based eater so I don’t use eggs. Maybe that’s part of my problem lol
